84 young people from 14 clubs, divided in 6 departments (North, Artibonite, West, South, Southeast, Grand Anse) of the network 'Vague Du Futur' (VDF) will meet in the hotel Montcel in Kenscoff from February 17 to 21, 2012 at a national meeting organized with the assistance of FOKAL and the Canadian organization Rights and Democracy (D&D), artner of VDF. This meeting aims to enable young people from different backgrounds to meet and exchange, to promote reflection and debate on issues that concern them, particularly in the context of national reconstruction.

A debate competition on "The book is it an obsolete object ?" is also at the program of this camp, as well as a subject surprise on the same theme which will be revealed to the debaters that during the tournament. The format Karl Popper, different from the format of debate Public forum, to which the young people of 14 clubs have been trained, was selected for this camp: according to strict regulations and stringent argumentation techniques, 2 teams of 3 debaters each, clash without arguments, in a game that lasts about an hour. This exercise will allow to develop the critical thinking skills, of discussion, of eamwork and the spirit of tolerance among young people. A space will be reserved to educate and inform young people about the risks and natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis).

Youth will be encouraged to think about the conduct of awareness days and advocacy actions they will undertake in their communities in the month of March 2012. The results of the regular meetings of the clubs will be treated in order to identify topics to be discussed at the national meeting. As part of follow-up visits, this work will be continued in order to achieve the production of a small document in each club.

Finally, animations made ​​by young people themselves (talent show, speaker corner, campfire), recreation activities on the site, tourist trips are also scheduled.
