Since Wednesday, June 28, students of the Faculty of Law of Jacmel organize protests to demand the resignation and arrest of George Gréffrin, Dean of the Faculty of Law, for immorality and bad management of the institution. They blocked the conduct of examinations at the end of the year and handed the keys to the clerk of the court of first instance in Jacmel. The students received the support of former students of the institution to amplify the movement.

In statements made to the microphones of journalists, students protesters denounce a very common practice in the School of Law, where the defense of the thesis project is done on the basis of bias and sometimes in secret. In addition, the leaders still refuse to submit the recorded notes to students.

The student protesters held demonstrations in the streets of Jacmel where they launched bad words against of brothers George and Garry Greffin respectively Dean and Secretary General of the institution. Sunday, they set up burning barricades in front of the premises of the Faculty and denounced the behavior of Dean, which according to them, transforms the space of dormitory of the Faculty to cohabit with his partner, a situation over that inflame their anger.

At the Law School of Jacmel, the cost of the academic year is 2,500 gourdes, while the Dean brought out a note doubling the amount, another reason that adds to the list of demands of students .

For his part, George Greffin describes as manipulation and false allegations, the protest movement, rejecting of a backhand the accusations of students, In what concerns the embezzlement denounced by the protesters, he said it was simply a administrator and that he did not manage funds of the institution.

While appealing for calm to students, so that exams are completed in peace, for the welfare of the University, the Dean Gréffin said he is ready to leave the faculty, but not under any conditions, because it was elected by the Council.
