Haiti - Economy : The Brazilians are interested in the Haitian port system

Recently, the engineer, Alix Célestin Director General of the National Port Authority, received the visit of a delegation of investors of the Federal Republic of Brazil, came to learn about business opportunities in Haiti.

The delegation, composed of seven people, led by Gina Coles, of the Investment Facilitation Center (CFI), took advantage of the meeting to discuss issues relating to the operation of the Haitian port system and the entire transportation logistics chain.

During the meeting, Alix Célestin, highlighted the comparative advantages of coastal marine sites of the Republic of Haiti and the investment opportunities in the Haitian port sector to take advantage of the flow of ocean freight, which will generate the expansion of the Panama Canal.

Members of the Brazilian delegation visibly satisfied promised to return in September with an expanded delegation of Brazilian investors interested in a public-private partnership through the implementation of port economic hubs to the benefit of the national economy.
