Haiti - Elections : 12 candidates calling for the cancellation of elections

Twelve of the 18 candidates in the Haitian presidential election, denounced at a press conference at the Karibe Convention Center, massive fraud and irregularities. They issued a unanimous call for the annulment of the election, following protests from voters who could not vote and many cases of fraud and irregularities observed since the official opening of polling stations.

Some pooling stationshave opened several hours late, some are not opened... The frauds are numerous and sometimes massive: pre-filled ballots on behalf of INITE, ballot stuffing, voter names registered but absent from lists, intimidation, voters with several electoral cards, polls moved or deleted, illegal continuation of the Jude Célestin campaign's, lack of electoral materials or ballots etc. ... Many acts that seriously endanger the democratic exercise of voting rights of Haitian citizens enrolled in this national consultation.

President Preval is designated as primarily responsible for this situation, the population slogans demanding the resignation of head of state, and if the police do not intervene, people could take to the streets and situation becoming uncontrollable.
