Haiti - Training : Departure for Cuba of 21 executives fellows of the DINEPA

Monday at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Jack Guy Lafontant in the presence of Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Guito Edouard the Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), Ambassadors of Cuba, Switzerland and the Kingdom of Spain, participated in the departure ceremony of 21 fellows of DINEPA as part of a training in Cuba in the fields of hydraulic and electromechanical engineering.

This training is part of the cooperation efforts and support of the Cuban and Spanish governments to the Haitian authorities to strengthen certain public institutions.

In his speech, the Head of State stated, "While Cuba has abundant expertise in engineering and electromechanics in the fields of drinking water and sanitation [...] Spain allows the two sister countries of the Caribbean to converge, to find sustainable solutions to the challenges issues of drinking water and sanitation in Haiti," said President Moïse.

After this month-long training, "the government will have to exploit in an exemplary way the expertise of these technical executives," insisted President Moïse.
