Reinforcement with 892 New Haitian Police Officers

Vladimir Paraison, Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), announced preparations for the graduation ceremony of the first 35th class, comprising 892 officers from the PNH's P4000 Program. These officers, trained to combat bandits throughout the country, will bolster the police force to ensure security in areas liberated from gangs, allowing residents to return to their homes.

Northeast : Alert Regarding Counterfeit US Dollars

The Northeast Departmental Directorate of Commerce and Industry is urging residents of the Northeast to be extremely vigilant regarding a network of criminals circulating counterfeit US dollars. All merchants and citizens are advised to take all necessary precautions when conducting financial transactions. Anyone involved or complicit will be subject to the penalties provided by law.

Taiwan : Donation of 8,208 tons of Rice

Ambassador Cheng-hao Hu renewed the partnership between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Mario Nicoleau, Director General of Food For The Poor (FFTP), on January 8, 2026, by signing a donation agreement for 8,208 metric tons of rice for 2026, to help the most vulnerable population in Haiti.
